Kaila & Josh - Onsite Video

Kaila and Josh hit the weather jackpot on November 1--WOW--what a gorgeous day it was. Kaila and Josh were so cool and fun all day and night. The Towers looked beautiful as always and DJ Jason Citrone from Music Mixers rocked the party all night long. This video clip is the same day edit video show that was shown that night during dinner. The show included a photo montage also but I am posting only the live video portion--- I hope you enjoy it ---John

Style Me Pretty Website/Blog

Wedding Stories has been invited to the "little black book" of the Style Me Pretty website. Abby Larson created the site for "the style obsessed bride" and it has won numerous awards ever since. The site only lists 3 vendors per category and the listing is by invitation only. Wedding Stories is proud to be associated with Abby and this great resource for brides. We are listed in the black book section--under Rhode Island Cinematography.

Courtney and Jason - 09.27.08 - Video Preview

Right from the beginning, Courtney and Jason wanted to embrace the city-aspect of their wedding --- mission accomplished!
Great street scenes with photographer Rupert Whitely; the city skyline; and the Providence Biltmore Hotel set the stage for a perfect shoot.
Once again, Florals by Alisa did a fabulous job. And DJ Anthony Crocenzi drove home the party with a great performance.

Trisha and Mark

OK Back to the Blog! September was a virtual black hole--shooting weddings, meetings with brides and getting DVDs out and delivered. But I am back--so let's get blogging. I am going to post several new clips over the next week. Let's start with Trisha and Mark. St Mary's Church in Cranston, and Mt. Hope Farm in Bristol provide the backdrop. Sabrina Scolari once again did her usual tremendous job with the photo shoot, and Trisha and Mark were--well just take a peek and you tell me. This may have been the ultimate in just crazy good fun! And yes--that is a llama at the wedding. I love this couple.

Nicole and John - 08.30.08 - Onsite Video

Well --it's the classic story--boy from Pittsburgh meets girl from RI and 2 years later here we are. Nicole and John --what can I say--just an absolutely beautiful wedding. I had the pleasure to work with make-up artist Kristin Greene for the 2nd time in one week--she is wildly popular. Also Erica Sciarra provided make-up services for the bridesmaids. Yes --as you can guess--I spent a lot of time with these girls yesterday! The Crowne Plaza Rotunda room looked beautiful last night. The flowers and centerpieces from Florals by Alisa were stunning. Bob Mainelli played and sang during the dinner set--now I've always said that Bob is the best pure vocalist that I have ever heard--and he was outstanding last night. Kenny from Elite Entertainment took over after dinner and the party was on. Now, on to the onsite video that was played at the reception last night. I always ask why do I put myself through this stress (onsite videos are very stressful to produce) lol. Well, when the show ends and the bride and groom come over to you and hug you with love and gratitude like last night--well--that's why. Nicole and John, enjoy a replay of the show from last night. ---John

Hadley and John - 08.22.08

Astors' Beechwood was the setting, and Hadley and John were the rockstars. Beautiful wedding and a great party. Melissa Robotti from Boston was lead photographer and was spectacular. She was assisted by her friend Ali Rosa from Ali Rosa Photography, also a great photographer. Pranzi Catering provided a wonderful dinner and everyone just had a great time. Here's is a little preview to watch.

Kristen and Dan - 08.23.08

Back to the blog. It has been a busy month and I am trying to maintain the 30-45 day DVD promise to my brides—so far –so good. With that kind of turnaround it has been a challenge to post previews---but I will post several new previews over the next few days. I am starting with the most recent shoot as I promised Kristen and Dan a preview for their out of state friends and family. This was my 2^nd wedding shoot with Sabrina Scolari Photography over the past 3 weeks—what can I say, she is so talented and really gave me my own space to create the shots that I needed. The Belle Mer was just beautiful and the love that this couple share could truly be felt all day. I hope this preview captures in some small way the essence of the day. Enjoy--John

Highlight Reel

OK--back from a little family vaca--so lets get back to the blog. This is a highlight reel from Carissa and Amedeo (7-12-08). A highlight reel is how I end each DVD. Nothing fancy here, just a great couple ( Amedeo is truly a character) set to a great song. Hope you enjoy.

Kelley and Steve - Onsite Video - Newport

Whew! This was a busy weekend. It all started on Friday with a beautiful beach wedding in Newport. Kelley and Steve were just the coolest couple and I loved shooting this wedding. We produced another onsite video for the reception and it went great. Another wonderful reaction from the guests and bride and groom that makes it all worth the effort. I must give credit to the photographer Jen and Zenobia Studios who set up all the great action shots that work so well for video--this was truly a team effort. Check out the onsite video that played Friday night at the reception.

The fact that I know what a birdcage veil is, just reinforces the fact that I am way too obsessed with weddings and video--anyway--Apparently someone sent a link to http://www.birdcageveils.com/ of the Shayna and Daniello video. Mark and Melody (of birdcageveils.com) loved the video and asked if they could post it on their website. It is on page one of the photo gallery (third row, center)--they tell me that this website gets @ 9000 visits per month! So hopefully some bride in Maui will click on the video and just have to have a Wedding Stories video--well-- you never know.

Jessica and Brian - 07.04.08

4th of July Spectacular! The bride and groom got ready at Castle Hill then it was off to the photo shoot with Sergio. The ceremony and reception at Astors Beechwood was beautiful and The Cover to Cover Band capped it off with an incredible night of music. The shots of Jessica and Brian on the lighthouse were sensational. Let the fireworks begin....

Shayna and Daniello - 06.29.08

Beautiful, magical, mystical.....
these are just some of the words that come to mind after shooting this wedding.
The Back 2 Back Band rocked the house; and Cafe Nuovo just plain rocked!
Shayna and Daniello nailed the details --- and you know what they say --- "It's all about the details". I must admit, I even got caught with my hand in the candy jar.

Cindy and Nick - 06.21.08--Photo Shoot

Flawless. I tagged along with Vagabond View Photography from Cape Cod on a very cool photo shoot. City, mills, water, urban--just cool. Cindy and Nick were up for anything and they just are a wonderful couple. I set this to a different vibe--hope you enjoy---John.

Amanda and Jason - 6.20.08

Before I get to Amanda and Jason--a couple of things I want to share. I kicked off this blog last week with a video preview and a few words about Angela and Johnny. Well Cindy (my wife) says that I need to talk about the dress, flowers ... you get the idea. Ok--now I know weddings-I know video-I know great photography when I see it and great music when I hear it--but if I start talking about lace, satin, and chiffon--well I'm sorry I just can't.
Now on to Amanda and Jason--the Squantum Club provided a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful day. Dave and Nick from DB Photography did a great job and set up some beautiful shots. I know one more thing--one beautiful bride + one handsome groom = one perfect wedding. Here's a little video preview---Enjoy!
